There are no more injury fears for Inter Milan forward Alexis Sanchez, who could be available for the Milan derby.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the 34-year-old could even play a role in tonight’s World Cup qualifier between Chile and Colombia.

Sanchez is currently away on international duty with the Chilean national team.

The 34-year-old only joined Inter a couple of weeks ago, just before the end of the summer transfer window.

Sanchez has yet to make an appearance for the Nerazzurri. The Chilean has not been carrying any specific injury. However, he has lacked match-fitness given the lack of a full preseason.

Then, during international duty for Sanchez, it has emerged that the former Arsenal, Manchester United, and Barcelona forwad has an issue with low hemoglobin.

Reportedly, Sanchez is suffering with mild anemia.

However, the Gazzetta reports, more recent tests with the Chilean team’s medicals staff have been positive. Sanchez should already put these fitness issues behind him.

No More Injury Worries For Inter Milan Forward Alexis Sanchez

The Gazzetta report that there is a decent chance of Sanchez even getting out on the pitch for Chile in tonight’s World Cup qualifying clash with Colombia.

That would be the 34-year-old’s first competitive match in several months.

Sanchez played in virtually every match for Marseille last season.

However, the Chilean was not even on the bench for Inter against either Cagliari or Fiorentina.

But according to the Gazzetta, Inter are now fairly optimistic that Sanchez could be ready for the derby against AC Milan.

Worries about the former Arsenal forward’s match-fitness and hemoglobin levels now seem to be in the past.

With Inter coach Simone Inzaghi now ready to start rotating his squad, Sanchez can play his part.
