Inter Milan goalkeeper Yann Sommer feels that the Nerazzurri showed their a great team despite struggling away to Real Sociedad.

The 34-year-old reacted to the 1-1 draw in an interview with Amazon Prime, via FCInterNews.

Sommer was perhaps one of the only Inter players who really showed his quality in team’s Champions League opener.

The Swiss international made several sharp saves.

And he had to. La Real piled on the pressure for the majority of the match, and created a number of chances to call the Inter keeper into action.

But, apart from the early opening goal which he could do little about Sommer, was equal to every shot that he faced.

And this proved to be vital for the Nerazzurri.

With the scoreline remaining at 1-0, Inter always had a tangible hope of getting a result.

Late in the match, Nerazzurri captain Lautaro Martinez popped up with an equalizer. But in truth, the captain will have had his goalkeeper to thank for everything he did to make sure that the equalizing goal was even possible.
