Yann Sommer was the Man of the Match for Inter Milan in last night’s 1-1 draw against Real Sociedad in the Champions League.
The Nerazzurri started their European campaign on Wednesday night at the San Sebastian Stadium.
The Basque-based club took the lead early through Brais Mendez. The Italians managed to avoid conceding another goal and eventually grabbed an equalizer through their captain Lautaro Martinez.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport via FcInterNews, Sommer was the best performer amongst Simone Inzaghi’s men.
The Swiss made a host of decisive saves that kept Inter in the match. He earned a rating of 7.5/10.
As for the manager, he received a relatively low grade of 5.5/10. The source only praised him for introducing Alexis Sanchez (7/10) as a playmaker in the second half. This substitution helped turn the tide in Inter’s favor.

On the other hand, Alessandro Bastoni received the lowest grade (4/10). The defender was the main culprit on the conceded goal. He allowed himself to be easily dispossessed.
Bastoni’s defensive partners fared better, with Stefan de Vrij getting 6/10 and Benjamin Pavard 5.5/10 on his Inter debut.
On the wings, Carlos Augusto earned a rating of 6/10 on his full debut, while Denzel Dumfries received 5/10.
In the middle of the park, the young Kristjan Asllani struggled to cope with the pressure and earned a below-par rating (4.5/10). Nicolo Barella and Henrikh Mkhitaryan both received 5/10.
In attack, Marko Arnautovic earned 4.5/10 for his disappointing outing, while his replacement Marcus Thuram received 6.5/10, the same rating as Lautaro.
