Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi admits that analysis is needed after the team’s poor second half against Sassuolo.

Speaking to InterTV after the Nerazzurri lost 2-1 at the San Siro, via FCInterNews, the coach noted that now the team must learn from the mistakes that caused them to squander the lead against the Neroverdi.

Inter will have been reasonably happy with the first half they played against Sassuolo.

The Nerazzurri went in at halftime 1-0 up, and they were not bad value for it.

But then in the second half of the match, the Neroverdi came out looking like a team with new life.

And Inter weren’t ready for it. The Nerazzurri conceded first to Nedim Bajrami, and then to an absolute screamer by Sassuolo forward Domenico Berardi.

After that, however, it is not as though Inter lacked the time in which to equalize or even get a winner.

On the contrary, the Nerazzurri had right around half an hour to do so. But in truth, Inzaghi’s men hardly created the chances that would be worthy of snatching a result.

Inzaghi Admits Inter Need To Analyze Last 35 Minutes Vs Sassuolo

After the match, Inzaghi said that “We had a good first half. We covered the pitch well, and that’s where we needed to do more in an attacking sense.”

“In the second half we started alright, but then we conceded after an error. And after that we started to lose our shape.”

“We lacked a bit of determination and also composure,” the Inter coach continued.

“We knew that we were up against a strong team who play good football, but we had to keep our heads,” he went on.

“After conceding the equalizer and then a worldy for 2-1, we needed to do more.”

“Now we get back to work, we have to take the positive things from today and also understand where we can do better.”

“We’ll certainly have to analyze the last 35 minutes,” Inzaghi said.
