Inter Milan could receive a major boost in the middle of the park ahead of the Bologna encounter, with Davide Frattesi and Stefano Sensi pushing for a return.

According to Sky Sport via FcInterNews, the two midfielders worked separately today. However, they have been increasing the intensity of their training.

Therefore, the source believes the Italian duo could join their teammates in group training tomorrow.

If so, Inter coach Simone Inzaghi will make the final decision ahead of Saturday’s clash. He would decide whether to call the players or delay their return for the Torino fixture which will ensue following the October international break.

Frattesi sustained an injury last week during the defeat against his former club Sassuolo. He suffered a slight strain that ruled him out of the weekend trip to Salerno and Tuesday’s Champions League clash against Benfica.

Luckily for the Nerazzurri, they won both matches despite the player’s absence.

Frattesi has thus far made two goal contributions since joining the club in the summer. He scored a goal in the Derby della Madonnina and provided the assist for Lautaro Martinez’s equalizer against Real Sociedad in the Champions League.

Inter Milan Duo Davide Frattesi And Stefano Sensi Could Return To The Matchday Squad For Bologna Clash

As for Sensi, he’s once again dealing with recurring injury problems. These setbacks have limited his contribution in the first stretch of the season to a single appearance.

The 28-year-old returned to the club in the summer after spending 18 months on loan between Sampdoria and Monza.

He will be looking to climb his way in Inzaghi’s ranks, but must first overcome his physical issues.
