Inter Milan could have an inside track to the signature of breakout Monza midfielder Andrea Colpani next summer.

Today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, note how the Nerazzurri’s positive relationship with Colpani’s agent Tullio Tinti could particularly be a factor in their favour.

Young midfielder Colpani is a player who has enjoyed an outstanding start to the current season.

He has scored four goals in Serie A over the first four matches in the campaign.

That is as many as Colpani had scored across the entirety of last season. He had played 27 matches over the course of last campaign.

Now, Colpani is an undisputed part of Monza coach Raffaele Palladino’s first-choice starting eleven.

The 24-year-old has formed a trio with former Inter midfielder Roberto Gagliardini, and Brianzoli captain Matteo Pessina.

Colpani had initially joined Monza on loan from Atalanta in the summer of 2020. He spent two seasons in Serie B with the club, helping them achieve promotion during the 2021-22 campaign.

The Brianzoli signed Colpani on a permanent deal that summer. He has been a fixture in the team ever since.

Agent Relations Could Favour Inter In Andrea Colpani Pursuit

Naturally, Colpani’s form has led to interest in the young Italian’s signature from bigger clubs than Monza.

And Tuttosport report that chief among these is Inter.

The Nerazzurri have scouted Colpani in a number of matches already. They consider him a serious target, and a player with the potential to alternate with the likes of Nicolo Barella, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and Davide Frattesi in midfield.

Naturally, the price tag could be one stumbling block in Inter’s pursuit. This will depend on Monza’s demands.

And, relatedly, the competition for the 24-year-old’s signature could both see the potential cost skyrocket, and crowd Inter out.

But Tuttosport note that there is at least one key advantage.

Agent Tullio Tinti represents Colpani.

That is the same agent who represents Inter coach Simone Inzaghi. Tinti also counts Nerazzuri trio Alessandro Bastoni, Matteo Darmian, and Emil Audero among his clients.

Therefore, Inter have a history of getting deals with Tinti done.

In the view of Tuttosport, this would be a clear clue as to Colpani’s probable future.
