Hakan Calhanoglu and Yann Sommer will return to training with the rest of the Inter Milan squad today.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Inter are now less than one week away from returning to Serie A action against Torino.

And Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi will start having his entire squad at his disposal in view of the preparations for that match.

Last week, the only players in training were those who had not gotten call-ups for their national teams.

And then Inzaghi gave the squad the weekend off to rest and relax.

But the team are back in training today.

And this week will see the players who had been on international duty start to filter in to make a complete squad again. Starting with Turkish international Clahnaoglu and Swiss international Sommer.

Hakan Calhanoglu & Yann Sommer Back In Training With Inter Today

Calhanoglu and Sommer were the first two players to finish up with their international fixtures.

Calhanoglu captained Turkey to a 4-0 win over Latvia yesterday evening. It was a satisfying end to the break for Turkey, who won both their EURO 2024 qualifying fixtures during the break to secure a big foothold in terms of qualifying for the Euros.

Meanwhile, for Sommer and Switzerland it was a more difficult evening.

The Swiss played out a wild 3-3 draw against Belarus yesterday evening.

In any event, both Calhanoglu and Sommer are now both free to return to training with their club, having finished up with their countries.

Meanwhile, Dutch duo Denzel Dumfries and Stefan de Vrij are in action against Greece this evening. They’ll be back in training tomorrow.

And the Italian and French internationals can return to training on Wednesday.

As is typically the case, South American internationals will be the last to return to training later in the week. Lautaro Martinez, Alexis Sanchez, and Carlos Augusto should be back late Thursday.
