Juventus captain Danilo will be targeting a return from a hamstring injury in time to face Inter Milan at the end of next month.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

32-year-old Bianconeri defender Danilo has suffered a hamstring injury.

The muscle problem came up whilst the Brazilian has been on international duty with the Selecao during the break.

And Danilo could be out for a number of weeks as he recovers from the injury.

There is certainly no doubt that the former Manchester City, Real Madrid, and Porto man will be out for the Bianconeri’s match against AC Milan this weekend.

Juventus return to Serie A action on the other side of the break with a huge head-to-head with the Rossoneri.

And they’ll have to do without their captain for that match.

And then, there are questions about when Danilo will be able to return after that.

The Bianconeri play three other Serie A matches between the October and November international breaks. They face Hellas Verona, Fiorentina, and Cagliari.

Juventus Captain Danilo Targeting Return From Injury In Serie A Clash Vs Inter

According to the Corriere, there is little chance that Danilo will be able return in time for any of the matches after the international break.

This means that the 32-year-old should be out until the November break.

But Juventus face another huge match right after the November break. The Bianconeri host Inter in the first of two league Derby d’Italia clashes.

And according to the Corriere, that is the match that Danilo has circled on his calendar as far as a return goes.

Naturally, the Bianconeri will not want to be without their captain in such an important match.

Danilo has become a key player for Juventus both on and off the ball since joining from Man City in 2019. He has also added leadership qualities to the team.

And the Brazilian will have a few weeks to try and get back on the pitch to bring his influence to one of the Bianconeri’s biggest fixtures of the season against Inter.
