Nine Inter Milan players are returning from international duty today.

Today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, report that the French, Italian, and Albanian internationals in the squad are back in training. And the three South Americans will be back tomorrow.

Inter are now just a couple of days away from their return to Serie A action. They take on Torino away on Saturday evening.

For the bulk of the ongoing international break, Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has had a heavily reduced squad at his disposal.

The majority of Inter’s players received call-ups from their national teams.

But over the course of the past few days, the squad has begun filtering back into training.

Nine More Inter Players Back In Training From International Duty

The first players to return were Hakan Calhanoglu and Yann Sommer.

The Turkish and Swiss internationals finished up with their international duty over the weekend. They rejoined their teammates on Monday.

Then yesterday, Dutch pair Denzel Dumfries and Stefan de Vrij returned.

Today, nine more players rejoin the squad at Inzaghi’s disposal.

Firstly, there are a whopping six Italian internationals who had been away.

Midfielders Davide Frattesi and Nicolo Barella, wingback Federico Dimarco, and defenders Francesco Acerbi, Alessandro Bastoni, and Matteo Darmian were all part of Luciano Spalletti’s Azzurri squad during the break.

Italy suffered a disappointing defeat at the hands of England yesterday.

But the Inter players can hardly afford to dwell on that disappointment with the return to club action just a couple days away.

Then there are the French internationals. Both Marcus Thuram and Benjamin Pavard were part of the Les Bleus squad during the break.

And the pair of summer arrivals are now back in training for Inter today.

Lastly, young Albanian international Kristjan Asllani is also back.

Then tomorrow there will be the eleventh-hour arrival of three South American internationals.

Argentine Lautaro Martinez, Brazilian Carlos Augusto, and Chilean Alexis Sanchez will all be back.
