Inter Milan, Juventus, AC Milan, and Barcelona are all on high alert with Lille defender Tiago Djalo available on a free transfer next summer.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it.

Djalo is a player who had been on Inter’s radar as early as the January transfer window of last season.

That was when it became clear that Milan Skriniar would not be extending his contract.

Had the Slovakian joined Paris Saint-Germain for a fee in January then Inter were considering a move for Djalo.

The Portuguese international is a player who the Nerazzurri had marked out as a potential like-for-like replacement for Skriniar.

In the end, Skriniar stayed at Inter until the end of last summer. However, given that the Slovakian left to join PSG for free when his contract with the Nerazzurri ran out, a replacement was still needed.

In the end, Inter signed Benjamin Pavard from Bayern Munich to replace Skriniar.

However, that does not mean that they have entirely lost interest in signing Djalo.

Inter, Juventus, AC Milan & Barcelona All Want Tiago Djalo

Inter had been in contact with Djalo’s representatives about a possible transfer last summer.

The 23-year-old was ready to say yes to a move to the Nerazzurri.

However, a major factor has been a lengthy spell on the sidelines with an injury for Djalo.

The Portuguese picked up a serious knee injury towards the end of last season.

That ruled him out until the end of last campaign. It also has meant that he has been out of action for the start of this one.

Djalo is yet to return from his injury.

However, the Lille defender will return soon.

And Inter have not stopped being in touch with the Portuguese defender’s representatives. He is still very much on their radar.

However, Juventus also want to bring Djalo to Serie A. They will rival the Nerazzurri for the defender’s signature.

And Milan are also keen.

The Rossoneri had actually sent Djalo to Lille, as he had been in their academy. The defender was part of a deal to sign Rafael Leao.

Milan valued Djalo at €5 million as part of that deal.

And then the Gazzetta note that Barcelona are also keeping tabs. Given the Blaugranas’ difficult financial situation, they are scanning the market for free transfer opportunities.
