Inter Milan defender Stefan de Vrij is very glad that Benjamin Pavard joined from Bayern Munich during the summer transfer window.
The Dutchman praised the 2018 World Cup winner speaking to InterTV after yesterday’s win over Red Bull Salzburg, via FCInterNews.
Pavard is now a familiar sight at Inter.
The 27-year-old completed his move from Bayern a couple months ago. He joined right at the end of the summer transfer window.
Pavard is the player who Inter signed as the long-term replacement for Milan Skriniar on the right side of their back three.
And so far, the Frenchman has looked comfortable in the role.
Pavard has become an important part of Inter’s starting eleven.
In possession, the 27-year-old has looked comfortable with carrying out his role moving the ball forward. He has also shown that he is willing to venture forward when the space opens up.
And defensively, Pavard has given plenty of demonstrations of why Inter signed him.
The Frenchman’s physicality and anticipation for the game have made him a formidable presence at the back for the Nerazzurri.
