Forward Paulo Dybala will miss tomorrow evening’s Serie A match between Inter Milan and Roma through injury.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews. The newspaper report that Dybala’s condition is close to recovery, but he won’t be rushed back tomorrow.

Dybala has been out for a few weeks with a knee problem.

The Argentine picked up the injury to his medial collateral ligament during a match against Cagliari prior to the October international break.

Dybala had gone off the pitch in tears towards the end of the first half of that match. There were worries that the problem could be serious enough to rule him out for a significant period of time.

But then assessments suggested that there could be the possibility of Dybala returning within a few weeks.

There had even been optimistic projections that the 29-year-old former Juventus and Palermo man could be back in time for tomorrow’s match against Inter.

But according to the Corriere, Dybala will not play any part in tomorrow’s match against the Nerazzurri.

The newspaper explains that the most recent signs have been positive.

There is little doubt, the Corriere reports, that Dybala should be back on the pitch soon.

However, that does not mean that the 29-year-old is quite ready.

The Corriere report that Giallorossi coach Jose Mourinho has made the decision to leave Dybala behind in the capital whilst the squad travel to the San Siro tomorrow.

The priority will be having the Argentine back to his best for subsequent fixtures.

Roma have important matches in Serie A as well as the Europa League on the way before the November international break.

Among these is the Derby della Capitale against Lazio. Roma take on the Biancocelesti in their last match before the November break.
