Inter Milan have shockingly revived their interest in Lazar Samardzic according to reports, but Juventus are also in the fray.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via FcInterNews) is reporting the news on Friday morning.

This comes as a shock for many considering how the player’s transfer saga unfolded in the summer.

The Udinese star arrived at Inter and even underwent customary medical tests.

However, the deal collapsed at the eleventh hour following the arrival of his father Mladen Samardzic.

The latter wanted to renegotiate the terms previously agreed between the club and renowned agent Rafaela Pimenta.

He claimed that the Brazilian lawyer didn’t possess the power of attorney to negotiate on his son’s behalf.

The Italian giants refused to change the terms, and the deal subsequently faltered. The 21-year-old ended up remaining at Udinese.

But as the pink newspaper explains, Samardzic had always remained on the club’s radar.

The source claims that the Nerazzurri are now reflecting on whether or not to restart contacts with the player’s entourage sooner rather than later.

Inter Milan Have Rekindled Their Interest In Lazar Samardzic Who’s Also A Juventus Transfer Target

The report believes that Inter are still looking to sign the Serbia international next summer. But they might have to act swiftly to anticipate competition from Juventus.

The Bianconeri have lost the services of Paul Pogba and Nicolo Fagioli due to suspensions. Thus, they could be eager to add a quality midfielder to Max Allegri’s ranks as soon as January.

The source adds that Samardzic’s salary won’t be a major issue for either club.
