Striker Marko Arnautovic is back in full training and will be available to face Red Bull Salzburg in the Champions League.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews.

Arnautovic has been out for several weeks with a thigh strain.

The 34-year-old former West Ham United, Stoke City, and Bologna striker picked up the problem in a Serie A win over Empoli in September.

Arnautovic came on as a substitute in that match. However, the Austrian only lasted around ten minutes, pulling up with a problem in his thigh.

The initial assessments of the injury suggested that Arnautovic would miss around two months with the injury.

It always looked fairly clear that the veteran striker would miss all of October.

And then, the hopes has been to get Arnautovic back fit some time in November,

Initially, it looked as though Aranutovic wouldn’t be back until after the November international break.

Inter take on Juventus in the Derby d’Italia later this month. That had looked to be the match that the Nerazzurri and Arnautovic were circling on the calendar.

However, after a couple of weeks, the prognosis started to become a bit more optimistic.

Arnautovic has been aiming for a return before the November break.

Inter play two more matches before the squad disperse for their national teams. First, there’s Salzburg in the Champions League.

Then, next weekend, Inter host Frosinone in Serie A.

And according to FCIN, Arnautovic will be fit for those matches.

The Austrian made a full return to training. Therefore, he will be able to be part of the squad to travel to his home country to face Salzburg tomorrow.

Whether or not this means Arnautovic will be fully match-fit is another question.

But there is no doubt that the Arnautovic will be part of the squad, FCIN report.
