Luca Toni believes that Inter Milan are a much stronger team than Juventus at the summit of the Serie A table.

The former Bianconeri, Bayern Munich, and Fiorentina striker spoke to Italian broadcaster DAZN, via FCInterNews.

The last couple of weeks have seen Inter and Juventus pull away a bit at the top of the Serie A table.

There is still plenty of time for teams like AC Milan or Napoli to catch up. The gap is still only a couple of result.

But there is a gap.

And that has led many to see the Serie A title race as being between the Nerazzurri and the Bianconeri.

At least until another team can catch up and reign the two leading teams in.

Meanwhile, the gap between Inter and Juventus is just two points.

And the fact that the Derby d’Italia is coming up just after the international break makes that gap look all the more slender.

Therefore, the big question could be which of the two teams at the top is stronger.

And in the view of former striker Toni, there is actually a fairly clear answer.

Luca Toni: Inter “Much Stronger Than Juventus

Toni argued of Inter that “They’re much stronger than Juve.”

“I think they’re getting along the way they should be,” he continued,

“It’s Allegri who is doing something special with Juve,” he went on.

The former striker argued, “Look at Calhanoglu, he’s the best playmaker in Europe.”

“Thuram is doing exceptionally well,” Toni continued, praising Inter’s French international striker.

“And it’s normal that you can’t just have four starting-quality players.”

And Toni also gave his thoughts on Inter striker Lautaro Martinez.

“He’s taken the final step,” the former striker argued.

“He’s become the player at the centre of this Inter,” Toni went on. “By winning everything there is to win, he’s taken the final step.”
