Lecce midfielder Ylber Ramadani isn’t hiding the fact that his agent has spoken with Inter Milan about the possibility of a transfer.

Speaking to Albanian news outlet SportNews, via FCInterNews, the 27-year-old called the links with the Nerazzurri a source of “motivation” for him.

Ramadani has enjoyed a strong start to the season with Lecce. He arrived from Scottish Premier League outfit Aberdeen in the summer.

Whilst the Albanian international is only now playing in a top five European league for the first time in his career, he has looked up to the task.

Ramadani has put in some impressive performances to help Lecce plant their flag in midtable so far this campaign.

Lecce had to replace a very important player in the form of Morten Hjulmand. The Danish midfielder left for Sporting CP in a big money sale over the summer.

But Ramadani has been just what Lecce have needed to replace Hjulmand.

The Albanian’s positioning, first touch, vision, and weight of pass have helped Lecce control the tempo in midfield, hardly missing a beat since Hjulmand departed.

Lecce Midfielder Ylber Ramadani Not Hiding Inter Links

Reports suggest that Inter Sporting Director Piero Ausilio has scouted some of Ramadani’s recent matches.

The Nerazzurri executive has attended matches for both Lecce and Albania.

And according to the player himself, Ausilio has in fact spoken to his agent.

“He was in Tirana,” Ramadani said, referring to his agent.

“He met with Ausilio,” he noted. “We spent a lot of time talking.”

“For me it’s a really big source of motivation,”

Ramadani made clear that “I have to not stop working and growing if I want to go to Inter.”

The Albanian also compared himself to his national teammate, Inter midfielder Kristjan Asllani.

“He’s more technical,” the Lecce midfielder said. “But I do other things well.”

“I can play with one other midfielder, or two, without any issues,” Ramadani said.
