Napoli are looking around for possible replacements for midfielder Piotr Zielinski as Inter Milan and Juventus target the Pole on a free transfer.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Former Empoli and Udinese midfielder Zielinski’s contract with Napoli runs out at the end of next June as things stand.

The 29-year-old stayed at the club in the summer despite extensive interest from the Saudi Pro League.

By all accounts the Partenopei want to extend Zielinski’s contract.

And the player, who has been at Napoli since 2016, could certainly be amenable.

But on the other hand, Zielinski could certainly look around at possible offers. The Polish international has no shortage of interest in his signature.

Napoli Looking At Possible Zielinski Replacements Amid Inter & Juventus Interest

Inter are monitoring Zielinski’s situation closely.

The Nerazzurri are always in the hunt for free transfer opportunities, and the Polish international would certainly represent a big one.

At 29 years of age, Zielinski is a proven commodity with over four hundred matches worth of Serie A experience.

And Inter could very well be aiming to replace Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the summer if they do not convince the Armenian to extend his own contract.

Meanwhile, Juventus are certainly in the hunt for a new midfield signing.

The Bianconeri could look to sign Zielinski as early as January. This would be to make up for the absences of Paul Pogba and Nicolo Fagioli due to bans.

Napoli are aware of this interest in Zielinski.

Therefore, the Campanian club are starting to target prospective replacements.

Union Berlin’s Lucas Tousart is one player on the Partenopei’s radar. The Frenchman joined Union from city rivals Hertha Berlin in the summer.

And Lyon’s Rayan Cherki and Bodo/Glimt midfielder Albert Gronbaek are other possible Zielinski replacements on Napoli’s radar.
