Italian journalist Paolo Condo feels that “logic” would dictate that either Inter Milan or Juventus will go on to win the Serie A title.

The journalist wrote in his column in today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper La Repubblica, via FCInterNews.

Inter and Juventus are hardly the only two teams alive in the race for the Serie A title.

But the form table certainly shows the two teams at the top as the title contenders in the ascendancy.

For Inter, it’s four wins from four between the October and November international breaks. Ditto for Juventus.

AC Milan, on the other hand, failed to win a single Serie A match in that period. This saw the Rossoneri drop from first to third in the table.

And Napoli’s shock defeat at the hands of Empoli was the latest damaging setback for the defending champions.

Therefore, the Nerazzurri and the Bianconeri certainly have the momentum behind them at the moment.

Condo: “Logic” Says Inter Or Juventus Will Win Serie A Title

“Can the teams behind Inter and Juventus show ambition to win the title?” Condo poses. “Logic says no.”

“Let’s take AC Milan in third place with 23 points,” he continued.

“In the last twenty years it has only happened twice that that a team with that total after twelve matches has gone on to win the title.”

“There was Conte’s first Juve (2011), who had 23 points at this stage. And then, Allegri’s second (2015) who had just eighteen.”

“They went through a very profound initial crisis,” Condo notes of the 2015-16 Juventus team. But then they came out of it, with a striker of 25 wins and a draw.”

And as far as Inter’s win over Frosinone yesterday, Condo wrote that “They were initially confronted with the courage and intelligence of Frosinone.”

“But Dimarco scored a goal-of-the-season contender, straight from the Inter pantheon along with Recoba, to open up the match.”
