The agent of PSG wingback Achraf Hakimi has closed the door to the idea of a surprise return to Inter Milan.

Speaking to Italian news outlet TVPlay, via FCInterNews, the Moroccan’s agent Alejandro Camano said that the player’s “story at Inter” is over and that the French champions want to keep hold of him.

Hakimi spent just one season at Inter. But the impact that he made was very significant.

The Moroccan joined the Nerazzurri during the summer of 2020, from Real Madrid.

And Hakimi played an important role in Inter winning the Serie A title during the 2020-21 season.

But the wingback’s time at the San Siro would only last the one season.

The summer of 2021 was a tumultuous one for Inter that saw the club have to make a big profit from the transfer market in order offset major financial losses.

And Hakimi was the first goal.

Inter sold the Moroccan to Paris Saint-Germain that summer, bringing in a considerably bigger fee than they had paid for him.

Agent Of Achraf Hakimi Closes Door To Surprise Inter Return

Hakimi is now in his third season as a PSG player.

The 24-year-old has already won the Ligue 1 title in both of his first two seasons with the club. And he has helped them up to the top of the table in the French top flight this campaign.

But there have been some rumours about Hakimi’s future.

Reports have suggested that the 25-year-old is not entirely happy in the French capital and could even seek a change of scenery.

The fact that Hakimi enjoyed such success at Inter has led some to hint at a possible surprise return.

But according to the player’s agent, there is little chance of that in reality.

“I believe that Hakimi made many people happy while he was at Inter,” agent Camano said.

“But it’s a story that’s over,” he went on.

“I don’t know what the future holds,” he said. “But PSG are talking about the possibility of him staying for a long time.”
