Inter Milan have reportedly rekindled their interest in Canadian winger Tajon Buchanan who currently plies his trade in the Belgian league.

The 24-year-old made a name for himself while representing New England Revolution in Major League Soccer.

In January 2022, he made the switch to Europe, signing for Club Brugge.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport via FcInterNews, Inter continue to monitor the progress of the winger whose contract will expire in 2025.

Buchanan primarily plays on the right side. At the moment, Denzel Dumfries is Simone Inzaghi’s ultimate choice on this flank.

However, Juan Cuadrado has been dealing with physical issues that limited his contribution to the cause after joining the club in the summer.

The 35-year-old is aiming to regain his fitness ahead of next weekend’s showdown against his former club Juventus.

But as the source tells it, Inter could try to poach Buchanan regardless of Cuadrado’s situation at the club.

The Canadian is 11 years younger than the Colombian. But he has already amassed 33 international caps, scoring four goals in the process.

This season, Buchanan has thus far contributed with three goals and as many assists across all competitions with Club Brugge.

Moreover, the source mentions Agustin Giay as a possible alternative for the Canadian.

The 19-year-old is an Argentine prospect who mainly plays as a right-back.

The teenager rose through the ranks of San Lorenzo and is currently featuring with the senior team on a regular basis. His contract with the club runs until December 2025.
