Inter Milan are amongst a host of clubs tracking the services of Napoli out-of-contract star Piotr Zielinski.

The 29-year-old has been a stalwart with the Partenopei since 2016. However, his contract with the Italian champions will expire at the end of the season.

The Pole left the door open for a possible renewal, but according to Tuttosport (via FcInter1908), negotiations between the player and Napoli remain on hold.

Moreover, the Southern Italian club can’t afford to wait for too long on this front, especially since the midfielder would be able to sign a pre-agreement with any other club as early as January.

As the Turin-based newspaper tells it, a three-way race could ensue for Zielinski. This will feature Inter, Juventus and Saudi Pro League clubs.

Inter CEO Beppe Marotta has a knack for snapping up the services of top-notch players for free. He already brought the likes of Marcus Thuram and Hakan Calhanoglu to Appiano Gentile.

On the other hand, Juventus director of football Cristiano Giuntoli is all too familiar with the Polish star as he was the one who brought him to Napoli in the first place.

As for the Saudi Pro League clubs, they already tried to sign the player in the summer.

This season, the former Empoli and Udinese man has contributed with two goals and as many assists in 12 Serie A appearances. He also has a strike and an assist to his name in four Champions League outings.
