Inter Milan goalkeeper Emil Audero could finally make his debut for the club in the Champions League encounter against Benfica.

According to Tuttosport via FcInterNews, Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi has already made up his mind about his starting formation against Juventus.

The 47-year-old will unleash his strongest available line-up for Sunday’s big Scudetto showdown.

With Alessandro Bastoni and Benjamin Pavard injured, his choices at the back are limited. Inzaghi will field Matteo Darmian alongside Stefan de Vrij and Francesco Acerbi.

Federico Dimarco and Denzel Dumfries will occupy the flanks, while Nicolo Barella, Hakan Calhanoglu and Henrikh Mkhitaryan play in midfield. Club captain Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram will lead the line.

Following this crucial showdown, Inzaghi will be able to rotate his line-up for the Champions League tie against Benfica.

The Nerazzurri have already qualified for the Round of 16 after earning 10 points in the first four matchdays.

Therefore, the manager could deploy some of the players who are starving for playing time, and chief among them is Emil Audero.

The Juventus youth product joined Inter in the summer on loan from Sampdoria with an obligation to buy at the end of the season.

With Yann Sommer acting as the undisputed first choice between the posts, Audero has yet to feature in any competitive match for the Nerazzurri.

Therefore, Inzaghi could hand the 26-year-old his club debut in Lisbon.

The source expects the Italian to be the designated goalkeeper in the Coppa Italia.

However, Inter’s first fixture in the domestic cup won’t ensue until December 20th (against Bologna).

Therefore, Inzaghi might decide to advance Audero’s club debut by thrusting him against the Portuguese giants.
