Former Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte reveals he brought a sports psychologist during his time at the club.

The famous Italian tactician had spells at Juventus, the Italian national and Chelsea amongst others before signing for the Nerazzurri in the summer of 2019.

At the time, the Lecce native had already won three Scudetto titles and a Premier League trophy.

Therefore, the Inter hierarchy identified him as the right profile to re-instill a winning mentality at the club.

Conte eventually succeeded in his task. He left the club in 2021 after bringing back the Scudetto title to Appiano Gentile, thus ending an eleven-year drought.

Nevertheless, the 54-year-old revealed that he needed some assistance from sports psychology.

The Italian tactician admits that he brought one of the best sports psychologists in the business to Inter.

“During my time at Inter, I included a sport psychologist in my staff,” said Conte while speaking as a guest at a course in Exercise and Sport Sciences at the University of Salento via FcInter1908.

“He is an important figure Today, he’s also present in the largest companies.”
