Hakan Calhanoglu, Nicolo Barella, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan will make up the starting Inter Milan midfield trio against Juventus tomorrow.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Inter coach Simone Inzaghi will be naturally be keen to start his strongest possible team tomorrow.

The Nerazzurri face Juventus as first and second in the Serie A table respectively.

And given that just two points separate the Derby d’Italia rivals, whilst teams like AC Milan, Napoli, and Atalanta are a few points further back, there is the air of a potential title-decider.

Inter could increase their lead at the top to five points with a win. But on the other hand, Juventus could take top spot with three points.

So Inzaghi will not be thinking about rotating. He’ll want his best lineup out on the pitch from the first minute.

And in midfield, that means a very clear choice for the coach.

Calhanoglu, Barella & Mkhitaryan To Start For Inter Vs Juventus

Over the first few months of this season, Calhanoglu, Barella, and Mkhitaryan have been the first-choice midfield trio for Inter.

That has more or less been the case since last campaign.

Marcelo Brozovic had started out last time around with a place in the starting eleven.

But the emergence of former AC Milan and Bayer Leverkusen as an ideally-suited option in holding midfield meant that Inter decided to sell the Croat, something that would have seemed unthinkable not long ago.

And ex-Arsenal and Roma midfielder Mkhitaryan has proven to be just the right man to balance the trio.

With Calhanoglu at the base of midfield and Barella on the right, the Armenian has become key for Inter.

The Gazzetta’s completed predicted Inter lineup for tomorrow is as follows:

Inter (3-5-2): Sommer; Darmian, De Vrij, Acerbi; Dumfries, Barella, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco; Thuram, Lautaro.
