Famous football agent Rafaela Pimenta revealed that her client Henrikh Mkhitaryan is ready to sign a new contract with Inter Milan.

The 34-year-old joined the Nerazzurri in the summer of 2022 as a free agent after ending a three-year stint at AS Roma.

The Armenian swiftly established himself as a mainstay in Simone Inzaghi’s  3-5-2 line-up.

However, the midfielder is currently running on an expiring contract. But in recent weeks, several reports claimed that the Nerazzuri will lock in the player’s services with a new contract.

With a few, yet significant words, Pimenta confirmed the player’s intention to renew his collaboration with the club.

The Brazilian lawyer was attending the IAFA (Italian Association of Football Agents) National Meeting at the Circolo Marina Militare in Rome.

A reporter asked the agent about Mkhitaryan’s new contract with the Nerazzurri, and she insisted that her client is ready to put pen to paper.

“How long until we sign a renewal? “We are ready,” said Pimenta via FcInterNews.

So as the source tells it, this answer suggests that negotiations are heading towards the final stretch.

Despite his relatively advanced playing age, Mkhitaryan has taken part in all of Inter’s 16 fixtures across all competitions, starting on 15 occasions.

The experienced midfielder has contributed with two goals and four assists in Serie A.

His heroics include a man-of-the-match performance in the Derby della Madonnina. The Armenian scored a brace and provided an assist in the 5-1 demolition of AC Milan.
