Simone Inzaghi feels that Inter Milan need to play a top match against Benfica, and are calm ahead of their clash with Napoli.
The coach spoke to InterTV ahead of this evening’s Champions League group stage match, via FCInterNews.
Inter have a couple of big matches coming up in the next week.
The Nerazzurri faced Juventus in a top-of-the-table Serie A encounter over the weekend. But the fixture list is hardly slowing down.
This evening, Inter take on Benfica in the Champions League.
It’s a match that the Nerazzurri don’t need a result from in order to reach the round of sixteen. They have already qualified for the knockouts.
But that hardly means that Inter don’t have any motivation.
On the contrary, there is still top spot in the group left to fight for.
Then next Sunday, Inter travel to Naples to take on defending Italian champions Napoli.
Coming after their draw against Juventus, it’s yet another match with real title implications. And it’s yet another tough fixture away from home for Inzaghi and Inter.

As far as tomorrow’s match goes, Inzaghi commented that “We know all about Benfica,”
“They’re top of the table and Portuguese champions.”
He noted that “Last season they went on an incredible journey in Europe. We know they have a lot of quality, and that they will want to do everything to stay in European competition.”
“So we’ll have to play a great Inter match,” the coach added.
As far as the Portuguese team’s injury absences, Inzaghi said that “We know they have some players out. As is the case for us as well.”
“But they have a lot of quality,” he said. “We know them well. We’ve already faced each other three times in the past six months.”
And as far as the match against Napoli, Inzaghi said that “We know it’s very important. But we’re focused on tomorrow’s match.”
“We’re calm about it,” he added. “We’re taking things from match to match.”
