Striker Victor Osimhen will return to the Napoli starting eleven for tomorrow evening’s Serie A match against Inter Milan.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, who report that the 24-year-old is fully fit after recovering from his hamstring injury.

Osimhen had been out for more than a month due to a hamstring injury.

However, the Nigerian international came back from the injury towards the end of last month.

Osimhen did come off the bench for Napoli in their recent 4-2 loss to Real Madrid in the Champions League.

He had also done so in last weekend’s Serie A victory over Atalanta.

However, the former Lille striker did not start in either of those matches.

Therefore, there could have been one or two questions about Osimhen’s fitness and particularly his match-fitness.

Osimhen has now regained his condition, however, Sky reports.

Therefore, the Nigerian will be in the starting eleven tomorrow.

This will be the first time that the striker starts under coach Walter Mazzarri, who replaced Rudi Garcia at the helm following the Frenchman’s sacking prior to the international break.

Victor Osimhen To Start For Napoli In Serie A Clash Vs Inter

Naturally, Osimhen has been a big miss for Napoli over the last few weeks.

More often than not it had been former Sassuolo forward Giacomo Raspadori starting in the 24-year-old’s place.

But whilst Raspadori provides qualities of his own, the Italian international does not quite provide the focal point and threat in behind that Osimhen does.

Last season, Osimhen finished as Serie A’s top scorer.

The Nigerian’s 26 goals in the league were a crucial part of the Partenopei winning their first league title in over three decades.

Sky’s complete predicted Napoli starting eleven for tomorrow evening’s match is as follows:

Napoli (4-3-3): Meret; Di Lorenzo, Rrahmani, Ostigard, Natan; Anguissa, Lobotka, Zielinski; Politano, Osimhen, Kvaratskhelia.
