Legendary former Inter Milan captain Beppe Bergomi is expecting fireworks on the pitch when the Nerazzurri take on Lazio and Real Sociedad.

Speaking on Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, Bergomi also identified a key similarity between Inter and Juventus.

Inter were only just on the pitch less than 48 hours.

The Nerazzurri produced a statement performance to overwhelm Udinese by a 4-0 scoreline and reclaim their spot at the top of the Serie A table from rivals Juventus.

But the fixture list is hardly letting up.

Already tomorrow, Inter will go head-to-head with Real Sociedad in the Champions League.

And with all due respect to Udinese, La Real should pose a sterner test.

Inter found that out the hard way in the reverse fixture in San Sebastian. La Real dominated much of the match, and Inter only ran out with a point thanks to a late Lautaro Martinez equalizer.

Therefore, Inter will be keen to show that that performance was a one-off. They’ll want to keep the momentum from their thrashing of Udinese and top their Champions League group.

Then in Serie A, it doesn’t get much easier for Inter.

Next Sunday, the Nerazzurri play away to last season’s league runners-up Lazio.

The Biancocelesti, like Inter have already secured their spot in the Champions League round of sixteen.

Bergomi: Inter Vs Lazio & Real Sociedad Should Be “Brilliant To Watch”

Bergomi noted that “Inter are good at creating dangerous situations.”

“The Nerazzurri’s skill is that they know how to manage matches,” he noted.

“Gabriele Cioffi admitted that you have to allow some space to Inter. But then if you aren’t careful, they punish you.”

He anticipated that “The next two matches against Real Sociedad and Lazio will be brilliant to watch.”

And Bergomi also compared Inter and Juventus, the two teams at the top of the Serie A table.

“Both of them have the strength of showing respect for their opposition,” he said.

“Last season, Inter didn’t do that.”
