Former Nerazzurri defender Daniele Adani believes Inter Milan would be competitive even in the race for the Premier League title.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster RAI Radio, via FCInterNews, Adani also compared young Inter defender Yann Bisseck to legendary former Nerazzurri and Brazil defender Lucio for his performance against Udinese.

Inter currently lead the way in the Serie A table.

With a goal difference of +30 and ten clean sheets in fifteen matches, the Nerazzurri certainly look to be the outstanding team in the Italian top flight.

So that naturally leads to the question of how Inter would fare in other leagues.

There is little denying that the Premier League is the strongest league in Europe.

The English top flight is the richest league in the world. And this has attracted a high calibre of players and coaches, whilst the style of play tends to be frenetic.

Liverpool currently top the Premier League table. But Arsenal and champions for the last three seasons Manchester City are just behind them – meanwhile Aston Villa beat both to cement a place in the top four.

In the view of former Inter defender Adani, the Nerazzurri could be right in the mix.

Adani: Inter Could Be Competitive For Premier League Title

Adani argued that “Inter would also be competitive at the top of the Premier League.”

“[Against Udinese] they gave a performance of an immense technical, tactical, physical, and mental level,” he continued.

“Even the players that Simone Inzaghi uses as substitutes or rotations don’t feel the pressure of replacing the starters.”

Adani argued that “Against Udinese Yann Bisseck looked like Lucio.”

“Individuals as well as the collective are all at an incredibly high level.”

“Inter have been growing since the final two months of last season,” he argued.

“Now they go on the pitch to enjoy themselves. That’s the highest objective that any team can have.”
