The agent of Lautaro Martinez has made very clear that the 26-year-old is happy at Inter Milan and working to extend his contract with the club.

Martinez spoke to Italian news outlet Numero Diez, via FCInterNews. He confirmed that the talks are progressing well regarding a new deal for the Nerazzurri captain and striker.

Martinez is a player whose future has been under the spotlight in recent weeks.

But not because there is uncertainty or speculation regarding the Argentine. Quite the contrary.

By all accounts, Martinez will likely soon sign an extension to his contract with Inter.

The 26-year-old’s current deal runs out at the end of June 2026. But he should soon put pen to paper on a new contract that will expire at the end of June 2028.

This is a clear sign that Martinez has a key place in Inter’s plans for the future.

The Argentine became Inter’s captain during the summer. He inherited the armband from Samir Handanovic.

And the player himself has not hidden his intentions.

Martinez has made clear that he expects to sign a new contract with Inter in the very near future.

And his agent has yet again provided even more confirmation.

Agent Of Lautaro Martinez: Happy At Inter, Working To Extend Contract

Asked if there is a meeting with Inter scheduled for the near future, Martinez’s agent Camano said that “I can’t give you this information specifically. Because we speak with Inter every day.”

“I can tell you that we have a brilliant relationship with the club,” he continued.

“I’ve had a relationship with the Nerazzurri for years,” Camano noted.

“Because I’m also Hector Cuper’s agent, so I’ve worked with Inter a lot over the year.”

“Now I have a wonderful relationship with the entire club management,” Camano went on.

The agent made clear that “Lautaro Martinez is very happy to be in Milan. For the time being, we’ve had plenty of talks, we meet regularly and have a great relationship with the club.”

“But I can’t tell you ‘I’m going there tomorrow,'” Camaano explained.

“Because for now, we’re talking day after day, and things are going well.”

“What I can tell you for now is this,” the agent made clear. “Lautaro is very happy and we have to work so that Lautaro’s future is linked to that of Inter. But, for now, let’s stay calm.”
