Lautaro Martinez, Nicolo Barella, and Alessandro Bastoni will all be back in the Inter Milan starting eleven against Lazio this weekend.

This according to Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. The Gazzetta also anticipates that Yann Bisseck will start in defense in Sunday’s Serie A clash.

Against Real Sociedad on Tuesday evening, Inter coach Simone Inzaghi made a few changes to the team.

All of Martinez, Barella, and Bastoni dropped out of the starting eleven.

In their place, Alexis Sanchez, Davide Frattesi, and Carlos Augusto started.

The Nerazzurri coach decided to give a few of his key starters a rest for the Champions League group stage clash.

However, that didn’t mean that Inzaghi completely rotated his team for the match as he had done in a previous Champions League match against Benfica.

On the contrary, several first-choice starters were in the team.

Among these were Federico Dimarco, Francesco Acerbi, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Hakan Calhanoglu, Matteo Darmian, and Marcus Thuram.

Lautaro, Barella & Bastoni To Start For Inter Vs Lazio

According to the Gazzettta, Inzaghi has few doubts that he will start essentially his strongest possible team in Sunday evening’s trip to the Italian capital to face Lazio.

That will mean that all of Martinez, Barella, and Bastoni come back into the team.

One potential doubt for the coach concerns the right side of defense.

There is little doubt that Matteo Darmian will start once again.

But the versatile former Manchester United and Torino defender can play either at right-wingback or on the right of the back three.

Denzel Dumfries and Stefan de Vrij will still be out with injury. Benjamin Pavard, meanwhile, should be fit enough to be part of the squad – but should start on the bench.

Therefore, Inzaghi will have to choose between starting Bisseck or Juan Cuadrado – and which player he chooses will determine where on the pitch Darmian plays.

According to the Gazzetta, Darmian will start on the right flank. Cuadrado will drop to the bench, having made his first start for Inter against La Real.

And Bisseck will start on the right of the defense for the second league match in a row.
