Inter Milan defender Yann Bisseck should make his return to the starting line-up in this Sunday’s encounter against Lazio.

The 23-year-old joined the Nerazzurri last summer, completing a switch from Danish top-flight side Aarhus.

After initially struggling for playing time, the German has been seeing more minutes in recent weeks while some of his teammates at the back are out with injuries.

Bisseck made his first Serie A start last weekend in Udinese and managed to impress. The Nerazzurri shrugged aside the Friulians with four unanswered goals.

The defender was an unused substitute in midweek against Real Sociedad in the final matchday of the Champions League group stage.

But according to Sky Sport via FcInter1908, Bisseck will return to the starting formation for Sunday’s clash against Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico.

The German will join Italian internationals Francesco Acerbi and Alessandro Bastoni at the back. This will be the defensive trio that will start ahead of Yann Sommer who will be in goal as usual.

In the middle of the park, Hakan Calhanoglu will operate as a deep-lying playmaker between Nicolo Barella and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

For his part, Matteo Darmian emerges as the natural solution on the right wing. Denzel Dumfries is out with an injury while Juan Cuadrado is still dealing with a recurring Achilles tendon problem.

Federico Dimarco will reclaim his regular start on the left flank ahead of Carlos Augusto.

Finally, Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez will once again lead the club’s charge alongside Marcus Thuram.

The showdown kicks off on Sunday at 20:45 CET.
