Inter Milan star Alexis Sanchez will skip this weekend’s fixture against Lazio as he’s reportedly suffering from muscle fatigue.

The Nerazzurri will travel to Rome on Saturday ahead of Sunday night’s clash against the Biancocelesti in the 16th round of Serie A.

But according to Sky Sport via FcInterNews, Sanchez won’t be in the traveling party.

The source claims that the Chilean veteran had to forfeit due to slight fatigue. Thus he will remain in Milano for the weekend and try to recover his energy levels for the midweek Coppa Italia encounter against Bologna.

The veteran was without a club during the summer after ending his collaboration with Olympique Marseille.

Eventually, he made his return to Inter on a free transfer for a second stint. However, he missed out on the club’s pre-season preparations.

Since then, the 34-year-old hasn’t always been in an optimal physical condition.

Alexis Sanchez Will Have To Skip Inter Milan’s Serie A Clash Vs Lazio Due To Slight Muscle Fatigue

The former Arsenal and Barcelona star has only made five appearances in Serie A this season, only one as a starter. He has yet to make a direct goal contribution in the league.

Nevertheless, the experienced striker has been more efficient in the Champions League. He made six appearances in Europe, four from the start, scoring two goals in the process.

Sanchez thus joins a host of Nerazzurri stars who are unavailable for the trip to the Italian capital. The list includes Juan Cuadrado, Denzel Dumfries and Stefan de Vrij.
