Inter Milan striker Marcus Thuram is enjoying his time at the club on and off the pitch based on comments following the win over Lazio.

The 26-year-old was once again on target, netting his seventh Serie A goal of the season.

Lautaro Martinez had opened the scoring in the first half by pouncing on an absurd back-pass from Adam Maurisic.

The Biancocelesti entered the second half seeking an equalizer in front of their home supporters at the Stadio Olimpico.

However, Thuram smashed their hopes of a comeback by drilling a low shot past Ivan Provedel.

Following the 2-0 win, the Nerazzurri opened a four-point gap with their closest chasers Juventus who settled for a draw against Genoa.

Nevertheless, the French striker insists that the season remains long and it’s too early to talk about an escape at the top of the table.

“I don’t know if being four points ahead of Juventus is a big gap or not. But we played a good match and the league remains long,” noted the striker in his post-match interview with DAZN via FcInterNews.

“I always try to help my teammates, then if we manage to win I’m happy.”

“I really like Nicolo. if I can get an assist out of him, then I’m certainly happy.

“We are a group that likes to play and train together. We all love one another like brothers.”
