Former Juventus striker Sebastian Giovinco sees Inter Milan as the strongest side in Serie A and the obvious Scudetto favorites.

The Nerazzurri are currently leading the Serie A standings, four points ahead of their closest chasers Juventus.

Despite their elimination from the Coppa Italia earlier this week at the hands of Bologna, Simone Inzaghi’s men have been on spectacular form in recent weeks.

They have smashed the likes of Napoli, Udinese and Lazio while maintaining clean sheets.

Therefore, the bulk of fans and observers consider Inter as the best-equipped side to win the league by the end of the season.

Giovinco has joined the queue, tipping Inter to clinch the title at the expense of his former club.

“I see Inter as the favorites in the Scudetto race,” argued the 36-year-old in his appearance on the ‘Cose di Calcio’ show via FcInterNews.

“The Nerazzurri are clearly stronger than the others.”

Hence, the Atomic Ant believes that Juventus must keep Inter in their range until the direct clash in February if they were to stand a chance in the race.

“Juve would do well to reach the direct clash with the four-point gap. Then, they must give everything they have in that showdown.”

The two arch-rivals shared the spoils earlier in their first clash of the season at the Allianz Stadium. Lautaro Matinez canceled out Dusan Vlahovic’s opener.

Inter will host the return fixture at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium on February 4th.

For his part, Giovinco won three Scudetto titles with the Bianconeri between 2012 and 2014. He also had memorable stints at Parma and Toronto FC.

In 2022, the forward ended his career following a short and unsuccessful spell at Sampdoria.
