Wingback Carlos Augusto and Marko Arnautovic will start for Inter Milan in this evening’s Serie A match against Genoa.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. The Gazzetta anticipate the same starting eleven as against Lecce last weekend.

Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has the relatively rare luxury of a full week between matches.

The Nerazzurri were last in action six days ago, at home to Lecce.

And the next time that Inter take to the pitch will be on January 6, against Hellas Verona.

Therefore, rotating the squad will not be quite as important as is usually the case.

Inzaghi’s main concern will simply be putting out the strongest team that he possibly can.

And according to the Gazzetta, this means that the Nerazzurri coach will not be tinkering with the team that secured a convincing victory against Lecce six days ago.

Carlos Augusto & Marko Arnautovic Keep Places For Inter Vs Genoa

Throughout the lineup, there will be plenty of first-choice starters for Inter.

In midfield that means the trio of Nicolo Barella, Hakan Calhanoglu, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

And in defense, the Gazzetta anticipates that Germany Under-21 international Yann Bisseck will keep his place. The 23-year-old will form the back three alongside Italians Alessandro Bastoni and Francesco Acerbi.

But there are a few injuries that Inzaghi will have to contend with.

On the right, Matteo Darmian will start with Denzel Dumfries and Juan Cuadrado both out.

And then on the left, Carlos Augusto will once against start given the absence of Federico Dimarco.

Lastly, in attack, Marko Arnautovic will start, the Gazzetta predict. With Lautaro Martinez still out with an injury, the Austrian will partner Marcus Thuram.

The Gazzetta’s complete predicted Inter starting eleven is as follows:

Inter (3-5-2): Sommer; Bisseck, Acerbi, Bastoni; Darmian, Barella, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Carlos Augusto; Thuram. Arnautovic.
