Midfielder Davide Frattesi is very happy with how his teammates and the fans have helped him settle in at Inter Milan.
Speaking to Italian magazine Rivista Undici, via FCInterNews, the 24-year-old opened up about his move to the Nerazzurri.
Frattesi has been an Inter player for a few months now.
The Italian international made the switch from Sassuolo in July.
There were several big Italian clubs vying for Frattesi’s signature. Juventus, AC Milan, and Roma were all reportedly keen on signing the Azzurri star.
But in the end, it was Inter who made a deal for the midfielder.
By all accounts, a major factor was the decision of Frattesi himself.
The 24-year-old pushed for Inter in the summer, as he believed that it would be the right choice for him to take his next step in terms of the sporting project.
So far this season, Frattesi has not been a regular starter for Inter.
But the Italian has had more than a few outstanding moments.
Perhaps the most memorable was his goal in stoppage time against AC Milan in the derby in September.
Davide Frattesi Praises Inter Teammates & Fans
Frattesi told Rivista Undici that “I didn’t expect to feel so comfortable here.”
“Both on and off the pitch.”
The 24-year-old gave the view that “The group here is extraordinary. The fans are spectacular.”
He continued that “The results are arriving. things are going very well.”
As far as the Serie A title race, Frattesi gave the prediction that “I certainly don’t see a team killing the title race like Napoli did last season.”
“There are three or four teams who are equivalent in quality,” the Inter midfielder argued.
“They’re all right there in it,” he said.
“Then, certainly, squad depth will also go on to play an important role in it.”
