Club Brugge winger Tajon Buchanan will undergo medicals on a move to Inter Milan tomorrow and won’t be in the squad to face Hellas Verona.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it. The Gazzetta report that the Canadian will instead make his debut for the Nerazzurri against Monza the following weekend.

By now, Buchanan’s transfer to Inter looks virtually inevitable.

The Nerazzurri haven’t waited around to wrap up negotiations with Brugge to sign the 24-year-old.

Having aimed to get the Canadian – who Inter see as the injury replacement for Juan Cuadrado – into the squad as soon as possible at the start of the January transfer window, it will now be just a few days.

But Buchanan’s entry into the team won’t be immediate.

The 24-year-old will have to wait until tomorrow to undergo his medicals on the move.

Tajon Buchanan To Undergo Inter Medicals Tomorrow – No Debut Vs Verona

Inter had even been hoping to have Buchanan in the squad for their next Serie A match.

The Nerazzurri host Hellas Verona in Serie A on Saturday afternoon.

Therefore, had Buchanan undergone his medicals today, then there would be a good chance of that being the case.

The Nerazzurri must register all players in the squad 24 hours before the match, per Serie A regulations.

However, Buchanan will not be able to complete the transfer today.

The reason concerns the red tape surrounding registering Buchanan’s transfer with both the Belgian and Italian authorities.

The fact that Buchanan will have to wait a little longer for residency requirements as a non-EU resident is at the heart of this.

But the wait won’t be long. Buchanan should be able to complete his move tomorrow in any event.

And then the 24-year-old can start to get up to speed with his teammates in training.

And then, Buchanan will be in the squad to face Monza. He could make his Inter debut in that match.
