Former Juventus director Luciano Moggi has been ordered to pay €50,000 in court costs to Inter Milan in a Calciopoli related suit.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInter1908.

Former Juventus director Moggi has continued to proclaim his innocence related to the 2006 Calciopoli scandal.

As part of this, the ex-Bianconeri executive has accused Inter and the Nerazzurri’s former directors and President Massimo Moratti of creating a false narrative surrounding the event.

Therefore, Moggi has even gone as far as to take legal action against Inter and Moratti.

The former Juventus director filed a suit for damages to his image as a result of the scandal.

In his public statements, Moggi has always suggested that he is seeking massive compensation from the Nerazzurri.

But in the end, Moggi’s suit has ended with a whimper, Italian media report.

At the same time as Moggi has been seeking damages from Inter, Juventus have also seen their final legal appeal regarding Calciopoli fail.

The Bianconeri have launched a number of appeals over the years.

But all of them have faced rejection.

And the current Juventus board have made the decision to turn the page on the Calciopoli scandal.

They have decided that the most recent appeal’s failure will be the final nail in the coffin for the scandal.

The Bianconeri will no longer seek damages. Nor will they attempt to revoke the 2005-06 Serie A title that was awarded to Inter in the wake of the Calciopoli scandal.

And in the meantime, FCIN1908, Moggi’s own lawsuit against Inter has also come to a meek end.

The court has decided not to award the former Juventus executive any of the damages he sought.

On the contrary. The court has ordered to pay the Nerazzurri’s legal costs of €50,000.
