La Liga teams Real Betis and Valencia are keen on bringing in Inter Milan owned youngster Valentine Carboni this month.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that Carboni would nevertheless reject the interest of these two to stay at Monza.

Young Inter attacking midfielder Carboni is currently on loan at Monza.

The Argentine joined the Lombard team during the summer transfer window.

Carboni is at Monza on a one-season loan deal. The Brianzoli do not have any purchase option to sign the young attacking midfielder on a permanent basis.

The teenager hadn’t begun the season as a regular starter for Monza.

On the contrary, Carboni found playing time fairly hard to come by for the first few months of the campaign.

But in recent weeks, there have been signs of this changing.

Carboni has had some noteworthy moments, including a goal against Juventus.

And the Argentine started for the Brianzoli against Frosinone on Saturday evening. That was a starring performance from the teenager, as he both scored and assisted a goal in a 3-1 win.

Betis & Valencia Keen On Inter Attacking Midfielder Valentin Carboni

Saturday’s match underlined the sense that Carboni is starting to find his feet at Monza.

The priority for this season was always going to be playing time for the 18-year-old.

Carboni had very limited experience in senior football at the start of the campaign. Last season he made a handful of appearances for Inter’s senior team, but largely cameo appearances.

So if Carboni had struggled for minutes at Monza, there could have been reason for him to join a different club this month.

And both Real Betis and Valencia have shown an interest in signing the Argentine during the January transfer window.

But now, Carboni is starting to find playing time and form at Monza.

Therefore, the teenager has decided that he will stay until the rest of the season. He will look to kick on and grow in Raffaele Palladino’s team.
