Inter Milan are third in Serie A for the extent to which they pack their stadium to capacity, behind Genoa and Juventus.

This according to Italian news outlet Calcio e Finanza.

Yesterday, Calcio e Finanza revealed that Inter are the team with the highest average attendance in Serie A.

Naturally, the fact that Inter and AC Milan have the largest stadium in the division is a key factor in this.

The San Siro can accommodate well over 70,000 fans.

Both the Nerazzurri and the Rossoneri can sell out the San Siro relatively frequently.

And both of the teams have an average attendance in excess of 70,000 this season.

But by one metric, neither Inter nor Milan are the team who come the closest to packing their stadium so far this season in Serie A.

Inter Third Closest To Packing Stadium In Serie A – Behind Genoa & Juventus

The team that sell the highest proportion of total available tickets at their stadium on average are in fact Genoa.

This is perhaps not a huge surprise considering that the Grifone are back in Serie A after a season in the second division.

There is naturally excitement among the Ligurian club’s fanbase to see the team play in the top flight.

And the Marassi is hardly as large as the San Siro or the Stadio Olimpico.

The Rossoblu’s home grown is still no small stadium. And with a full house it can have a formidable atmosphere – as Inter recently found out.

Calcio e Finanza reveal that on average, the Marassi is 97% full for Genoa this season.

Meanwhile, Juventus on average sell out 96% percent of the Allianz Stadium. And Inter are just behind them, also at 96%.

Meanwhile, Milan sell out 94% of the San Siro in Serie A matches this season. This means that the Rossoneri are fourth, just behind Inter.
