Inter Milan striker Eddie Salcedo will embark on a new loan stint after completing a transfer to Serie B club Lecco.

The Lombardian side has officially announced the capture of the 22-year-old on loan with the option to buy in an official statement through the club’s website.

“Calcio Lecco 1912 is pleased to announce that it has acquired on a temporary basis with the right of redemption the rights to Eddie Salcedo’s sporting performances from FC Internazionale Milano,” reads the official note.

Salcedo first joined the Nerazzurri in the summer of 2018 after rising through the ranks at Genoa.

He spent a season with Inter’s Primavera squad before embarking on a series of loan spells. He represented the likes of Hellas Verona, Spezia, Bari and Genoa again.

The Colombian started the current campaign on loan in Spain with Eldense. He made 12 appearances in La Liga2 (Spanish football’s second division).

Salcedo scored two goals and provided an assist, but hardly featured as a starter.

Therefore, the Nerazzurri put a premature end to the striker’s time with Eldense before sending him to their Lombardian neighbors Lecco.

The club currently sits 16th in the Serie B table after collecting 20 points during the first half of the season.

Therefore, they’ll be hoping that the Colombian can provide the goals to keep them above the relegation zone.

At the end of the season, Lecco will decide whether to maintain Salcedo on a permanent basis or send him back to Inter.
