Antonio Rapuano will be the official in charge of Inter Milan’s contest against Monza on Saturday night.

The two sides had met at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium on the opening day of the season. The Nerazzurri emerged victorious by two unanswered goals courtesy of Lautaro Martinez’s brace.

Simone Inzaghi’s men will be hoping to kickstart the second half of the Serie A campaign with yet another win over the Biancorossi, this time at the U-Power Stadium.

According to FcInterNews, the AIC has officially appointed Antonio Rapuano as the match official in charge of the action on Saturday night.

The 38-year-old has been fairly active in Serie A this season, refereeing seven fixtures. The most high-profile match he officiated this term was the Stadio Olimpico clash between AS Roma and AC Milan back in September.

The Rimini native has handed 30 yellow cards in Serie A this season. He also sent out three players with a second booking and pulled out a straight red card just once. He also awarded spot kicks on two occasions.

Nevertheless, Rapuano has yet to cross paths with either Inter or Monza this season.

Antonio Rapuano To Take Charge Of Monza Vs Inter Milan Encounter

While Rapuano will be at the center of the action, Peretti and De Giudici will serve as linesmen. Aureliano and Mazzoleni will be in the VAR boost.

The match official’s display will be under particular scrutiny following the controversy that erupted last weekend in the aftermath of the clash between Inter and Hellas Verona.

Referee Michael Fabbri and VAR Nasca will be temporarily suspended for their part in the debacle.
