Midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan is not ruling out the possibility that even in his mid-thirties he could improve even more at Inter Milan.

The 34-year-old spoke to InterTV, via FCInterNews, after the Nerazzurri’s 5-1 Serie A win over Monza.

Mkhitaryan has seemingly just gone from strength to strength since joining Inter a year and a half.

The Armenian was already a veteran when he came to the Nerazzurri.

Mkhitaryan had shone for the likes of Shakhtar Donetsk, Borussia Dortmund, Manchester United, Arsenal, and Roma.

And the versatile midfielder if anything only improved once he started wearing the Inter shirt.

Mkhitaryan will soon turn 35. But his performances have shown absolutely no sign of declining.

Now, the question could be whether the Armenian is capable of hitting an even higher level.

Ordinarily, a player at Mkhitaryan’s age would not likely have much more room to grow.

But in the view of the player himself, that is not something that can be ruled out.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan: Always Room To Grow At Inter

As far as whether he’s now playing at his best, Mkhitaryan said that “There’s always room to grow.”

“I want to do my best,” he continued.

The ex-Arsenal and Roma man said that “I want to keep providing assists for my teammates and helping the team to win.”

And the Inter midfielder also gave his thoughts on how the team secured an emphatic win over Monza this evening.

Mkhitaryan explained that “We studied the mistakes we made against Verona well.”

“We tried not to repeat them tonight.”

The 34-year-old said that “We wanted kill off end the match on as soon as possible. And that’s what happened.”

Mkhitaryan said that “We’re continuing the path we started last season. I’m aware of the path we’re on.”

He suggested that “There are many matches to play, and we’ll try to do our best until the end.”

“My teammates push me to give my best. They help me to play at my best, so that we can really enjoy our football.”
