A report in the Italian press dives into the numbers registered during the first half of the season while recognizing the Tops and Flops at Inter Milan.

La Gazzetta dello Sport provides a detailed analysis, showcasing the highest and lowest stats recorded by Simone Inzaghi’s men in the first 26 matches of the campaign across all competitions.

We begin with the playing minutes where Yann Sommer leads the way with 2160. followed by Francesco Acerbi (1936) and Henrikh Mkhitaryan (1882), proving that the veterans can still cut it.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, Lucien Agoume only featured for 4 minutes before leaving for Sevilla. Fellow benchwarmer Stefano Sensi played for 65 mins.

Sommer also led the charts in the number of starts with 24. Mkhitaryan and Hakan Calhanoglu follow suit with 23 each. Sensi and Agoume are the only players who failed to earn a starting berth.

Club captain Lautaro Martinez received the highest average rating (6.74). Marcus Thuram (6.65) and Yann Bisseck complete the podium (6.5).

Curiously, Mkhitaryan has recorded the most tackles (28), with his midfield partners Barella and Calhanoglu right behind him at 26.

Acerbi has the most interceptions (30) followed by Henrikh Mkhitaryan (24). Benjamin Pavard shares the third spot with Martinez (18).

In terms of duels, Thuram rooted the competition with 130. Lautaro (101) and Mkhitaryan (100) are also on the podium while Acerbi is fourth with 97 and Barella is fifth (92).

As for successful crosses, Calhanoglu (41) and Dimarco (39) are way ahead of the rest of the field. The next in line are Bastoni and Barella with 11.

Hakan is also leading the passing charts with 1282, with Acerbi right behind him (1274).

Finally, Barella has the most passes inside the opponent’s half with 665, followed by Calhanoglu (631) and Mkhitaryan (545).
