Piotr Zielinski will make a decision in the next few days on whether to join Inter Milan next summer or stay at Napoli.
This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the trip to Saudi Arabia for the Supercoppa Italiana will probably see the 29-year-old make his decision once and for all.
Zielinski’s future has looked increasingly to be at Inter in recent weeks.
The Nerazzurri have been approaching the Polish international’s representative to make their interest in signing him on a free transfer if he does not extend his contract with Napoli.
And in the meantime, the Partenopei have been in contract talks with Zielinski.
But these have not gone the way that the reigning Italian champions would have hoped.
The 29-year-old has so far rejected all of the proposals put on the table in front of him.
This has cleared the way for Inter to move in.
Piotr Zielinski To Make Decision In Coming Days – Inter Or Napoli
Napoli have not entirely given up on convincing Zielinski to extend his contract past the end of June.
Reports suggest that the Partenopei have made Zielinski a last-ditch offer.
The Polish international has not yet definitively rejected his current club.
But a decision from Zielinski is getting closer and closer.
FCIN report that the Pole will be part of the Napoli squad that makes the trip to Saudi Arabia.
The Partenopei face Fiorentina in one of the two Supercoppa Italiana semifinal matches. And Inter will come up against Lazio in the other.
But off the pitch, Zielinski will be mulling over his future.
And according to FCIN, the Pole will likely make a final decision before Napoli return to Italy.
Zielinski will remain a Partenopei player until the end of the current season.
But with the January transfer now well underway, he could start solidifying a summer transfer to Inter.
