Man United have rejected the proposal of a swap deal involving Denzel Dumfries and Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Inter Milan.

This according to UK tabloid The Sun, who claim that the Nerazzurri have suggested the player exchange as part of their efforts to offload Dumfries, but the Red Devils are not interested.

Dumfries increasingly looks to be a player whose future is not at Inter.

As things stand, the Dutchman’s contract with the Nerazzurri runs out at the end of June 2025.

And Inter have no intention of having Dumfries go into the final year of his contract.

Therefore, the Nerazzurri’s intention is to sell the 27-year-old in the summer if he does not sign a new contract.

Contract negotiation talks between Inter and Dumfries have not yet definitively broken down.

There will likely be more talks over the coming months.

However, there is a significant gap between what the Nerazzurri are offering and what the player and his representatives would accept.

Therefore, a summer departure could be on the cards.

Man United Reject Dumfries Wan-Bissaka Swap Deal With Inter

According to what The Sun claims, one idea Inter have is to try and offload Dumfries via the route of a player swap.

Manchester United are a player who have been linked with Dumfries in the past.

And according to The Sun, Inter have offered the 27-year-old former PSV wingback to the Red Devils, with the idea of bringing in a player with a similar profile going the opposite way.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who joined United from Crystal Palace in the summer of 2019, is currently under contract with United until the end of June 2025.

The 26-year-old Englishman had been under contract with United until the end of June 2024. But according to the Sun, the Red Devils exercised an option to extend it.

Nevertheless, Wan-Bissaka has been linked with a move from Old Trafford.

However, The Sun claim, United have shown little interest in the prospect of a swap with Dumfries.
