Inter Milan are looking at both of Atalanta goalkeeper Juan Musso and wingback Emil Holm as targets for next summer.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.
There are a couple of positions in which Inter are very much thinking about their strategy for next summer transfer window.
One is in goal, where there is some question about who the main backup keeper will be next season.
Yann Sommer has been a suitable starter in goal. But it is not certain that Emil Audero, who joined Inter last summer, will be around come the start of next season.
Audero is currently on loan from Sampdoria. And Inter have a €6.5 million purchase option to make the 27-year-old’s deal a permanent one in the summer.
But it is not clear whether or not that will actually happen.
So far this season Audero has made just two appearances – in the Champions League against Benfica and in the Coppa Italia against Bologna.
If Inter can find a way to lower the €6.5 million fee by offering some young players going the other way, then there is every chance that they could sign Audero permanently.
But if not, the Nerazzurri may be looking elsewhere.
And Atalanta keeper Musso could be on the market in the summer.
The 29-year-old Argentine international joined La Dea from Udinese in 2021. He has plenty of Serie A experience.
But the emergence of Marco Carnesecchi has arguably rendered Musso as more of a backup option.
And so La Dea could be willing to sell Musso next summer.
And the 29-year-old is even a player who Inter have considered a target in the past.
Not Just Musso – Inter Also Keen On Holm
And Tuttosport anticipate that Musso is not the only Atalanta player that Inter may go after next summer.
23-year-old Swedish international Holm is currently on loan at La Dea from Spezia.
The Lombard club could sign the Swede on a permanent basis for €8.5 million at the end of the campaign.
However, Inter would be interested in signing Holm as well.
Like Musso, the 23-year-old has been on the Nerazzurri’s radar in the past.
And Inter may be in the market for a right-wingback next season. The future of Denzel Dumfries at the club is looking very uncertain.
Therefore, Inter could be going after more than one Atalanta player when June comes around.
