Inter Milan owned goalkeeper Gabriel Brazao is set to end his loan spell with Ternana and join Santos on loan for the rest of the season.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews.

During the summer transfer window, goalkeeper Brazao joined Serie B side Ternana on loan.

This is not the first time that the Brazilian has gone out on loan since joining Inter in 2019.

Far from it, Brazao has gone out on a number of loan spells.

There have been loan moves to Spanish duo Albacete and Real Oviedo. Both were in the Segunda Division, in the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons respectively.

Then Brazao went back to his boyhood club Cruzeiro on another loan.

However, a serious knee injury cut that loan move short.

Therefore Brazao spent the first half of last season recovering from injury.

Then when fit, the young keeper joined SPAL in Serie B on loan. There he found playing time relatively hard to come by, but did make one league appearance.

Inter Owned Goalkeeper Gabriel Brazao To Leave Ternana & Join Santos On Loan

FCIN report that given the lack of playing time that Brazao has been receiving at Ternana in Serie B, that loan will not continue for the rest of the season.

Rather, the Brazilian will return to Inter in the next couple of days.

Before the end of the January transfer window, the Nerazzurri will send Brazao out on a different loan, back to his home country.

Brazilian giants Santos will bring Brazao in.

What is not yet certain is what the formula of the loan deal will be.

Santos could sign Brazao on just a dry loan without an option to buy.

On the other hand, the loan deal could contain an option for the Brazilian club to sign Brazao permanently.

It would likely be dependent on whether or not Santos return to the Brazilian top flight.
