Young Inter Milan goalkeeper Gabriel Brazao is getting close to joining Serie B club Ternana on loan next season.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the Brazilian will first half to extend his contract with the Nerazzurri, and then the clubs should be able to get a loan deal over the line within the next few days.

Brazao is one player who certainly does not have a place in Inter’s first-team plans next season.

The 22-year-old has been a part of the Nerazzurri’s preseason. But the club are in search of starting-quality keepers, whilst Brazao is a player who they feel still needs time to grow.

Therefore, another loan move always looked inevitable.

Not, however, before the player extends his contract.

Currently, Brazao’s deal with Inter runs until the end of June 2024.

The Nerazzurri will not want to loan the Brazilian out and then lose him for nothing in twelve months’ time.

Therefore, FCIN report, Brazao will soon sign an extension with the Nerazzuri. This will also give Inter the benefit of being able to amortize the cost of the player across their balance sheet.

Ternana Close To Getting A Loan Deal For Inter Milan’s Brazao Over The Line

And then, once Brazao extends his Inter deal, FCIN report that Ternana are ready to move.

The Umbrian team have come forward with their interest, and convinced both Inter and Brazao.

Soon, new Ternana Sporting Director Stefano Capozucca will be at Inter’s headquarters to wrap up the agreement.

Then, Brazao will complete his loan switch.

Last season, the Brazilian had spent the second half of the campaign in Serie A as well. He was at SPAL on loan, though he struggled for playing time.

Brazao has also had loan spells with Real Oviedo and Albacete since joining Inter.

The Brazilian spent the first half of last season on loan with his former club Cruzeiro. However, a serious knee injury meant that they young goalkeeper was unable to play for them.
